Privacy Notice

Your privacy is important to Klaven Hotels.  This privacy statement provides information about the personal information that Klaven Hotels collects, and the ways in which Klaven Hotels uses that personal information.  We hold your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act in Singapore (the “Act”) which applies to all divisions and organisations in Klaven Hotels (collectively, “Klaven”) and Klaven’s stable of brands. We also comply with local data protection and privacy laws in our operations out from Singapore.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information when you purchase room nights or other products on our brand website, independent website (desktop and mobile) or when you stay with us, such as your contact details, travel information and credit card details. We also collect information about your preferences from your interactions with our service team members, and from specific requests you make.  In addition, we collect device and technical information from you when you use our brand website, independent website (desktop and mobile).

How will we use the information about you?

We use your information to fulfil our contract of hospitality with you, to administer your membership with our loyalty programmes. We also use your information to maintain our brand website, independent website (desktop and mobile), and to tailor our products and services to your preferences to provide the best service possible. In addition, we use your information to market our products and services to you, and those of our partners and agents (with your consent where required by applicable law). 

Who do we share your information with?

We share your data with our third-party service providers to the extent necessary for them to provide their services such as payment processor and relevant employees only on a need-to-know basis as well as government bodies only when required by law.

How and where we process your information?

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. We will only use, disclose and / or transfer your personal information for the purposes you have been notified of and consented to or which are permitted under applicable laws and regulations.

We will store all the personal information you provide on its secure servers. However, you will appreciate that it is not for us to perfectly secure your personal information from cyber-attacks, such as hacking, spyware and viruses. Accordingly, you will not hold us liable for any unauthorised disclosure, loss or destruction of your personal information arising from such risks.

The Act also requires us not to store personal information longer than necessary.  We will cease to retain your personal information when we no longer require such personal information for the purposes that we originally notified you of or for any business or legal needs.

Termination of Membership

We may terminate at any time any Membership which does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, where it has reason to suspect any fraud, abuse, or dishonesty, or where it is necessary or reasonable to do so in order to comply or satisfy and law, regulation or court order.

If a member chooses to terminate their membership or opt-out from the loyalty program, they may send a request for permanent deletion of their personal details to klaven@klavenhotels.com. The processing of data deletion will occur within seven (7) working days from the date the request is received.

All membership termination constitutes a complete withdrawal from the Programme, the termination of all privileges, benefits and claims by the Member and the end of any relationship whatsoever between Klaven and the Member under the Programme.

How will we notify you of changes?

We will amend this Privacy Notice from time to time and the updated versions will be posted on our independent website and date stamped so that you are aware of when the Privacy Notice was last updated. Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to this Privacy Notice. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Notice, we will provide notice through an email announcement.
